PhD Research Methodology Course (16-20 February 2009)

This is a compulsory course for UiTM lecturers before they embark their PhD (especially those who want to pursue their PhD using staff scholarship). I attended this course earlier so that i would get a clear picture about this tough journey..

and as i expected.. PhD is a really hard journey.. one of the speakers said " by doing your PhD it is seem that you're signing your death certificate..." while the other said.. 'PhD is a lonely journey..." and another speaker added ... ".. when you embark on PhD your family members also pursuing it.."

well what can i say here.. it is better for me to get ready even i don't know when is my turn.. i am not ready yet to pursue my PhD even I have collected many articles and theses related to my PhD topic.. I am waiting for the 'seru' for my PhD.. WHEN?? Only Allah Knows..

For the timebeing I am polishing my research skills and I am so lucky because I have experts around me such as Kak Aziah, Kak Rohaya, Kak Shidah (they are doctorate holder) and kak lelee (our PhD candidate).. they helped me a lot and 'tak lokek ilmu maa...'... alhamdulillah..

For this year I am publishing my research works to 2 journals (refereed) and planning to publish another 2 insyaallah.. so.. boleh ke aku buat PhD ni??? Entah le..

Pertunangan Fizah

Pertunangan Fizah (anak sulung kepada Alang saya) telah berlangsung dengan jayanya pada 27 Disember 2008. Perkahwinan pula dijadualkan akan berlangsung pada 14 Disember 2009.

Majlis ini merupakan majlis pertunangan pertama anak saudara perempuan di dalam keluarga saya. Fizah merupakan anak saudara ketiga dalam keluarga saya selepas Atong (anak angah - telah melangsungkan perkahwinan pada November 2008) dan Aimi (anak arwah Cho).

Chu, Kak Nah sefamili (isteri arwah cho), Abg Teh sefamili, Andak sefamili, Kak Zan, Yeop Sham sefamili dan saya sefamili menghadiri majlis yang diadakan dirumah Alang. Wadi, suami saya telah menawarkan diri utk menjadi photographer (of course la dibantu oleh saya he he he).

Tidak hadir dengan keizinan (macam minit mesyuarat lak) ialah keluarga Angah coz menetap di Labuan, Kak Uda sekeluarga kerana ada program rasmi pejabat dan Abang Cik sekeluarga.

Semoga jodoh kalian berpanjangan.. amiiinn..

Hantaran Pertunangan Fizah

Majlis pertunangan Fizah telah ditetapkan pada 27 Disember 2008 (2 hari selepas PTK aku).

Memang niat dihati utk contribute something utk hantaran anak2 sedara. Utk Fizah aku dah offer utk contribute potpourri..

Utk mengelakkan kesuntukan masa, aku kena siapkan hantaran tu sebelum aku pi PTK.. so 16/12 aku n hubby keluar membeli-belah perkakas yg diperlukan.. selain dari mengambil gambar dan video, mengubah hantaran pun antara hobi aku jugak cuma takde masa je nak buat he he he..

Fizah kata tema utk pertunangannya adalah ungu dan gold.. so.. di bwh ini adalah hasil keras tangan aku.. aku buat hantaran ni dalam masa 3 jam...

PTK oo PTK

Aku terlalu la bersemangat utk menduduki PTK 3 utk pensyarah.. alhamdulillah permohonan utk menduduki PTK diluluskan.. tarikh utk PTK aku 18-24 Disember 2008..

Alhamdulillah aku dibenarkan menginap di INTEKMA sepanjang program tersebut kerana jarak antara rumah dan UiTM shah alam dalam 50 km - so pergi balik dalam 100 km (rumah aku di batu caves) - semestinya aku buat surat rayuan melalui dekan la.
Bak kata orang Perak - tumpo le teman setiap hari nak berulang sepanjang seminggu program.

Conclusion utk PTK 3 - teman takkan amik PTK 4 -6 kalo tak disuruh oleh pihak atasan. Ngalahkan nak ambik PhD.. Penat nye Allah je yang tahu.. ada 5 assignment nk kena buat.. then 5 presentations... aduh.. mcm amik master dlm seminggu da... idak la teman nk amik lagi.. cukup la PTK 3 buat masa ni.. takde keghoje teman nak ngadap lg menatang PTK ni..

Satu keserikan... he he he.. apa2 pun dah selesai dah PTK 3.. Result?? harap2 dapat 4, kalo tak dapat 3 pun ok la.. jgn dpt 2 udah le.. jenoh nk ngulang balik.. tak kesior teman nk ngadap lagi eeeeeii nauzubillah...

MY HARD DISK IS CRASHED

Aduhai... what a bad day! Early yesterday morning I used the PC - everything was ok... Two articles - one to be sent to IRDC for registration and the other one to be sent to Asian Journal were there - just finished edited them yesterday morning. Then I went to Pre-Strategic Planning Programme and I thought I want to finish everything during lunch time...

Sadly, when I switch on the PC - the screen was blue... Ya Allah.. why this happened to me??? I called Wadi and he said that may be it is due to the system corrupted or the RAM. I really hope nothing happen to my hard disk. So I called Rahman (our head of Technician) and he promised me to check my PC on the next day.

Today Rahman came and checked my PC... then I called him up to ask about my beloved PC. He asked me to meet him in the technician room. Then he asked me to smell my hard disk.. arghhh!! it burned!!!!! Rahman convinced me. He said he'll try his best to find a way on how to save my data in the hard disk.

Luckily, my last data back-up was on 30/6/2008. But still I have to retype many things - Diploma Pendidikan stuffs and my reasearch stuffs..

WAAAAA aku tensen!!!!!!

Moral of the story.. back-up your data EVERYDAY!!!

This is a two day seminar and it is held on 1 -2 Disember 2008. The venue of this event is in Puast Latihan UPENA. The speaker is Prof Emeritus Gary J Confessore from the George Washington University, USA.

Our first DSLR

Me and my husband share a same interest i.e something that related to the technology such as computers, PDA, video camera. In April 2008 we bought a video camera - JVC (hard disk). The latest gadget that we bought last weekend is DSLR (Nikon D40). This is DSLR for the beginner. We enjoy with our new gadget!

Our first assignment is Fizah's engagement ceremony which will be held on 27/12/2008 (just around the corner). We keep on practising on how to handle this gadget. He he he...
